welcomeOut of all the places one could be on the Internet, with its sensory-overload multimedia seductions, it's shocking that someone should wind up here, on a writing page. But here you are. On this page, you will find my short stories and nonfiction writing (magazine articles and personal research). I hope that you enjoy these works, and consider your time here well-spent. I have a strange love-hate relationship with the act of writing. Out of all the things I do - photography, painting, web design and more - writing means the most to me. It is also the thing I do the least. I do any of the other activities spontaneously, but I almost have to chain myself to my desk in order to write. Once I get started, it's exhilerating - but getting to that point is almost painful. The oldest story on this site is The Snake Machine, which I wrote four years ago. Philately and Coilhouse Pneumatics were both completed this year, as was the Urban Legends piece. I consider my two most recent stories works-in-progress, and I am constantly tweaking them. All the stories on this page can be printed out for easy reading. If you enjoy the writing you find on this page, don't hesitate to drop me a line! I love hearing feedback from people. Nadya Lev |
